Madrid Xplora is much more than a trip: it is the official expedition, learning and transformation programme of the Community of Madrid, organised by TREX and sponsored by Quirónsalud.
It is a unique adventure created for restless, creative people with a desire to take on the world. In each edition, 20 young people from the Community of Madrid live an unforgettable experience where what matters is not just going, but everything you bring back with you.

The registration period is now officially open! You can submit your application directly at website form. Don't leave it until the last day; you have until January 22 at 23:59 to submit your application along with your documentation.
0 €. The journey is 100 % covered for the organisation, thanks to the drive of the Community of Madrid, Quirónsalud and our sponsors. You just have to bring your talent, your effort and your desire to conquer the world.
To be able to apply, you must meet these essential requirements:
Project Xplora is your chance to show us who you are. You must create an original proposal around values such as sport, health, sustainability or wellbeing. The committee will evaluate each proposal and, furthermore, an in-person interview will be held with the shortlisted candidates to choose the 20 expedition members. Want to know more? The Xplora Community is the new live space on our website where you can find inspiration and resolve all your queries. Once selected, you too will become part of it and become the new Xplora Mentor.
You don't need to be an athlete! We are looking for young people with energy, a drive to improve themselves and a positive attitude. During the expedition we'll be doing activities that are adapted so that any 16 or 17-year-old with healthy habits and a willingness to give it their all can enjoy them to the full.
It is the best part of the experience! You will go from knowing no one to building a lifelong family. You are never alone: the team of monitors, guides and coordinators accompanies you 24 hours a day to guarantee maximum security and make you feel at home. Do you want to know more? Rest easy! If we detect that any document is missing, our team will notify you in good time so that you can submit it before the official closing date of the application period.
It's a balance. Academic commitment, as demonstrated by your school record from the Community of Madrid, is valued, but Project Xplora is the very heart of your candidacy. A creative, original and well-reasoned project could be the ultimate key to standing out and securing one of the 20 places.
That is not going to happen! The Xplora Community It has the active commitment of the first generation of Xplorers who travelled to Egypt. They are looking forward to giving you a hand and mentoring the new applicants. Furthermore, any questions you ask will be completely anonymous.
Of course! Families' peace of mind is our highest priority. You have at your disposal the our contact form and ours social media. Once the 20 Xplorers have been selected, we will hold face-to-face and online briefing meetings with the families to detail the itinerary, medical logistics, insurance and answer any concerns before departure.
